Cape Fear Builders Guild (CFBG) is an organization composed of small to mid-sized builders located primarily in New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties. The purpose of the organization is to use the purchasing power of the members to achieve lower costs, higher levels of service and generate rebate income from suppliers. The organization is dedicated to promoting long-term relationships between builders, vendors and manufacturers to create a winning situation for all involved. The concept behind this group is the same as what is seen in other industries where smaller individual companies combine together to help "level the playing field" against larger
competitors. While these buying groups may not have quite the leverage of the "big box" home improvement retailers or national builders, its members are certainly in a more favorable position than they would be standing alone.
