- What Information Does CBUSA Collect?
PLEASE NOTE: THE TYPE OF DATA COLLECTED BY CBUSA WILL VARY WITH YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND ALSO BY WHETHER OR NOT YOU PARTICIPATE IN CBUSA SURVEYS.
To improve the quality of the products and services CBUSA offers to you and to operate the Site and provide certain of its features, tools, and on-line activities, CBUSA collects various PII (as described below) from different parts of its Site. CBUSA gathers most information during the registration process to use CBUSA's services and tools. But, CBUSA may request PII at other times, including, but not limited to, when you report a problem with our Site, when you complete survey forms, when you enter into a transaction through the Site, when you report quarterly purchase volume, when you report purchases through National Contracts and when you request to receive communications from CBUSA.
Below, we provide specific examples of the types of PII CBUSA collects through the Site. Again, please be aware that the type of data collected by CBUSA will vary with your use of the Site.
Contact Information: CBUSA may request or require contact information, such as your name, address, phone number, facsimile number, and e-mail address.
Demographic Information: CBUSA may collect demographic information, purchasing data and profile data (for example, professional and geographic information at our Site for management and monitoring purposes and to improve the quality of CBUSA's services). In addition, CBUSA may collect demographic information, profile data and purchasing data in connection with surveys it conducts for its own internal administration purposes or for release to third parties in aggregated form.
Transactional Information: CBUSA may maintain a database of information about the transactions on the Site (e.g., offer/request data, product/service categories, and article selection data).

- How Does CBUSA Use that Information?
The Site offers two different levels of access and service: (1) publicly available information areas and (2) a member's only area (the "Registered User Section"). Most of the Site is informational in nature and publicly available to all users. Consequently, until you register to access a Registered User area, participate in surveys, or receive information from CBUSA, you are able to browse the Site without providing any PII, although your browser may tell us what type of computer and operating system you are using as well as other kinds of technical information.
